An online poker tournament series announced today will see PartyPoker NJ join with non-profit Hometown Heroes to benefit “Restore The Shore,” an initiative helping those suffering from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
The tournament series consists of six events spanning six months. Each event is dedicated to assisting a specific region impact by Sandy.
The first tournament is scheduled for January 4th and will benefit Seaside Heights.
“We might be new to the neighborhood, but we know the need is still great for many living down the shore even more than a year after Superstorm Sandy,” said PartyPoker’s Mike Sexton. “We hope our players in New Jersey will log on and play to give.”
Each tournament will have a $20 buyin. Of that $20, $10 goes to the prize pool and $10 goes to Hometown Heroes. Additionally, Party will be matching with a $10 donation for each tournament entry.
