Ultimate Poker has gotten the go-ahead from Nevada regulators to continue offering real money poker, successfully completing the so-called “field trial” the site launched under at the end of April, according to a statement from the company.
“The Nevada Gaming Control Board has set regulatory requirements for online poker at the highest level,” remarked Ultimate Gaming Chief Executive Officer Tobin Prior. “We are thrilled that our product is the first to not only meet these standards, but exceed them. Ultimate Poker gives online poker fans the game they love in an environment they can trust.”
The NGC has yet to release an official statement regarding the field trial.
It’s not clear what, if any, practical impact the completing of the field trial will have beyond Ultimate’s continued ability to operate real money games in Nevada.
