Major online poker media company Bluff Media has a new owner.

The operator of Bluff Magazine and the PokerDB is now a part of Churchill Downs – the same Churchill Downs that owns and operates, among other things, the Kentucky Derby.

In a press release, an unspecified rep from Churchill offered the following explanation for the purchase:

In addition to the Company’s intention to further expand and build upon Bluff Media’s current content and business model, the Company believes this acquisition potentially provides it with new business avenues to pursue in the event there is a liberalization of state or federal laws with respect to Internet poker in the United States.

Guess you’ll start seeing more TwinSpires ads on bluff and probably less PokerView.
