The first installment of PartyPoker NJ’s “Restore the Shore” tournament series aimed aiding the ongoing recovery from Hurricane Sandy will run January 4th at 7pm EST.
The series – an extension of a larger charitable endeavor with the same name – is a cooperative effort between Party and non-profit Hometown Heroes.
The first tournament benefits Seaside Heights.
Future events with date and target community:
Each entry generates a $20 donation. The first $10 comes from the player, who puts up a $20 buyin, with $10 going to the charity and $10 to the prize pool for the tournament.
The second $10 comes from a matching donation from Party for each entry.
To register for the tournament, open the PartyPoker NJ software and navigate to the “Tournament” tab. The tournament is titled “Restore the Shore.”
The tournament is not listed in the Borgata Poker lobby. Party and Borgata share a software platform and (usually) a player pool.
It will be interesting to see how often the partners run such “isolated” events given the relatively limited player base in New Jersey.
You must use the desktop or browser client as the mobile clients for Party does not currently support tournament play.
